I work with used, soiled, and discarded—often familial—objects, altering them through encaustic, stretcher frames, and pigment. Suspending salvaged forms in a moment of re-creation is an empowering act. Through this transformation, the works enter a shared space with the viewer. Uncover invites reflection on what happens when agents of warmth, comfort, and protection are rendered hard, cold, and turned inward.
